Shipping policy

We dispatch our orders from Monday- Friday. 

Domestic Shipping Rates 

Standard shipping: 
Free shipping on orders over £50.*
Orders below £50 - £4.50

We use DPD, Royal Mail, Evri or Yodel for all our UK mainland deliveries. 

Delivery Add-On: Choose Your Delivery Day (Optional for Mainland only):
Weekday delivery: Additional £3
Weekend delivery: Additional £12
These fees are added to the standard delivery charge.*

We cannot always guarantee a delivery date, but will endeavour to deliver on your desired date as all orders are sent using a 24 hours delivery service the day before your chosen date. We highly recommend selecting a delivery day a day prior to when you need the parcel, in case of any delays from DPD or damages to the parcel. 

REMOTE UK POSTCODES

We deliver to most postal areas in the UK; however, there are certain postcodes with restricted courier services, which may result in longer shipping times. We do not offer nominated delivery day for the below postcodes.

Before ordering plants or soil from outside England, Wales and Scotland please research your country's regulations regarding importing these. Some countries require a Phytosanitary Certificate or health certificates which we cannot provide at the moment.
If you do order a plant or soil and it gets confiscated, charged additional taxes, or other costs or losses of your plant or soil, we will not be able to refund you.

Local collection
A free collection in London is available. This can be selected at the checkout.

How can I check the status of my order?
Tracking details are not always available. When your order has shipped, we will send you an email notification with a tracking number (if available) that you can use to check the status of your order.

If you have not received your order within 10 days of receiving the order confirmation email, please contact us at hello@tropicalglass.co.uk with your name and order number so we will look into it.

Royal Mail Delivery

Although Royal Mail state that delivery should take 2-4 working day, this isn’t guaranteed and on rare occasions there can be some unforeseen delays, especially at the moment due to Covid-19, special occasions like Black Fridays, Christmas etc.

Tropical Glass cannot be held responsible for any late deliveries that are beyond our control.

Failed Deliveries and Re-shipping

We offer free shipping on orders over £50. This offer applies once per order and cannot be reused if the original parcel is returned to us due to customer error. For orders below £50, a flat shipping rate of £4.50 applies.

Please ensure that someone will be available to accept delivery at the address you provide. We cannot take responsibility for missed deliveries due to the recipient not being available, an incorrect address being supplied, or any damage caused by parcels being stored in depots or with neighbours, particularly in the case of live plants.

If a parcel is not delivered due to customer error, such as entering an incorrect address, failing to collect the package on time or other customer-related delivery issues, we will not provide free re-shipping. The free shipping offer is only valid on the first shipment attempt. If re-shipping is required, the customer will be responsible for covering the full cost of the new shipment, regardless of the original order value. 

If you decide to cancel your order after a failed delivery attempt, we will refund the cost of non-perishable products only. Please note that a £4.50 shipping fee will be deducted from the refund, even if the order originally qualified for free shipping.

Should your parcel be returned to us by the courier, we can only offer a refund for non-perishable items. Shipping fees are non-refundable in such cases, and we reserve the right to deduct any courier return costs from the total refund amount. For example, DPD currently charges £12 for returning a parcel to the sender.

Delivery Issues / Extending delivery dates 

Tropical Glass will not be held responsible for incorrect addresses. If the item is delayed due to an incorrect address Tropical Glass will not be held responsible for any damaged plants due to the delay. 

If you change and extend your delivery date for any reason once dispatched, Tropical Glass holds no responsibility for the condition of the plants once received.

Lost Delivery

In the event of a lost parcel, we will initiate a claim process with the courier company. The courier will conduct a thorough investigation to determine what happened to the package. Please be aware that this process can take up to 3 weeks to complete. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

Order cancellation

If you wish to cancel your order, please inform us about this in writing by sending us an email at hello@tropicalglass.co.uk.
