Looking for a compact plant to add texture to your terrarium, paludarium or aquascape? Ophiopogon japonicus ‘Pusillus’, better known as dwarf mondo grass, is a miniature variety of mondo grass. It grows only about 5–10 cm tall and forms dense clumps of fine, arching dark‑green leaves.

Why you’ll love it:
- Delicate, dark‑green foliage: The slender, arching leaves create a neat, miniature lawn effect.
- Compact size: Because it stays small, it fits perfectly in terrariums, paludariums and as an emersed plant in aquascaping layouts.
- Easy care: Prefers partial shade and evenly moist soil; enjoys high humidity but should not be fully submerged.
- Versatile: Works well in paludariums and ripariums, as a bonsai accent or in fairy gardens; it can also be used as an emersed plant in aquarium setups to add greenery above the waterline.

This dwarf mondo grass grows slowly and can be divided easily as clumps mature, making it a great choice for beginners and seasoned aquascapers alike.

Each plant comes in a nursery pot, 5.5 cm (decorative pot not included).

As plants need water and light to thrive they'll need to be looked after. Once you receive your parcel, simply place the plants in indirect light and water them when the soil becomes dry. The plants can be wrapped before being gifted. As long as the plants are properly cared for, the terrarium can be made at any convenient time.
